Mrs Jennie Westley               Executive Headteacher

I was honoured to become the Executive Headteacher for the Chadsmoor Federation of the Community Infant and Nursery school and the C of E Junior School in April 2017.

Prior to this, I worked in Walsall. Following my training, I had the opportunity to work in a Junior school followed by a Primary School. I have taught in all year groups from Nursery – year 6 holding responsibilities for a number of areas in school including music and Special Educational Needs.

Having worked in some of the most deprived areas of Walsall, I am passionate that all children should be given an equal chance to follow their dreams. All children deserve good quality teaching by committed and hard working staff. I have high expectations of all stakeholders involved in school and I strive to ensure this happens.

My personal life involves spending time with my family. I have been married for 17 years and have a young daughter. We love going out visiting places of interest as well as staying in cuddled up in front of a good film or book. I absolutely love listening to music and I play the flute, piano, piccolo and Saxophone, although none of them as much as I used to.

Mr Michael Scrimshaw                 Chair of Governors

I was elected as a Parent Governor in January 2016. I have two boys at the schools.  I work locally as a Business Development manager for a company in the construction industry.

In my spare time I like to keep fit, enjoy horse racing and holidays.

Mrs Muriel Davis                        Vice Chair of Governors

I was born in Broomhill and after attending local school, trained at Derby Teacher Training College. My first post was at Chadsmoor Infants School and after 5 years I moved to John Wood Infants School, Cannock, as Deputy Headteacher.

I retired from there after 30 years and did part time work for the National Union of Teachers as well as becoming a Non Executive Director of Staffs Ambulance Service until it merged with West Midlands.

I have been one of the local District Councillors for Cannock East for nearly 20 years and am Portfolio Leader for Health and Wellbeing.

I was Chair of Governors at the Kingsway School for many years and since the Federation with the Junior School have continued in that role.

I have lived in the area for many years and am very keen that our children should have the very best chance to reach their aspirations and can assure you that my views are shared by all the staff and Governors.

I am married to our local County Councillor Derek Davis who has just retired from the Governors after many years of service and have two grandchildren, the eldest of whom has just move up from the Infants to the Junior School.

Miss Julie Derry                      Deputy Headteacher (Juniors School)

I am a local person who has grown up in Hednesford and Cannock attending St Josephs and Cardinal Griffin schools.

After qualifying from Chester College, I relocated back into the area and worked at Five Ways Primary before being employed at Chadsmoor Juniors. I have worked at the Junior School for 21 years, initially as a class teacher and for the last 7 years as the Deputy Headteacher and also a Governor.

As a long serving member of staff, I am passionate about the school community and want the children of Chadsmoor to aspire to be whatever they want to be, achieve their goals and be happy!

Mrs Sue Johnson                     Deputy Headteacher (Infants School)

I am a local lady who has grown up in the area and actually attended both the Infant and Junior Schools as a pupil.

After qualifying, I worked in Walsall for 2 years before transferring into Staffordshire. Following working in another school in Staffordshire, I have worked at the Infant School for approximately 17 years, initially as a class teacher and for the last 4 years as the Deputy Headteacher and also a Governor.

I believe that everybody should live their dream. By working as part of a fantastic team, I want to provide the children of Chadsmoor with the best opportunity to do whatever they want to do in their future and to give them the best start possible.

Mrs Lynn Benfield

I moved to Chadsmoor from Wolverhampton 29 years ago, as it was an ideal location for my work which involved a considerable amount of travelling around the length and breadth of the UK.

It began in Department Store management and Group Buying, to running my own business as a Sales and Marketing consultant and developed into National Field Sales Management in a Business to Business role with a Greeting Card Publisher. During this time I developed excellent management, communication and negotiation skills and gained qualifications in IT, Personnel Practice, Performance Management and Appraisal.

Since retirement I have studied part time at Cannock College and gained a qualification in book keeping.  I have joined Staffordshire South West Citizens Advice Bureau as a volunteer where I have qualified as a Receptionist and a “Gateway” adviser and currently work in the Cannock Bureau two days a week.

I enjoy walking and a Friend of Cannock Chase, I am also a member of Chase Leisure Centre – Pilates, Swimming and keep fit are my regular classes. I also like to travel and am particularly fond of Europe especially Italy, France and Portugal. I also enjoy reading and learning new skills.
